VESTED for a Cause Mission

“VESTED for a Cause 2021”

                                                                                            

I am currently a serving member in the RAAF Reserves. Previously served 12 years in the RAAF as an Avionics Technician.

I deployed on numerous exercises both within Australia and overseas. Also completing a 4 month deployment to UAE as part of Operation OKRA. 

Upon discharge I relocated to North Western NSW (Narrabri NSW 2390), since discharging I have noticed that there is little to no support for past serving members outside of capital cities.

My plan is to wear my weight vest (16kg) for a month (continuously) and raise awareness for PTSD for returning servicemen and women. Only removing the vest to sleep and shower.

Idea behind the vest it to simulate the load personnel still have to carry with them once returning home.


This year with the help of local business sponsored teams I hope we can together raise $10000 for support in donations to Soldier ON.
