The Kokoda Track marks the course of one of the most important battles for Australians in the Second World War. It is one of the most striking places of Australian wartime history that can be visited. The men who defended this rugged 96km track were the only line of defence protecting Australia from imminent invasion.
Now you can pay tribute to our heroes, past and present.
We need your help so Soldier On provide vital support services to enable our veterans and their families to thrive.
So, get ready to March On with Soldier On and walk in the footsteps of heroes. Your support will truly make a difference.
About Soldier On
Soldier On is a national not-for-profit organisation and has been supporting the veteran community since 2012. Founded by John Bale, Cavin Wilson and Danielle Clout following the death of John’s close friend, Lieutenant Michael Fussell from an IED blast in Afghanistan, Soldier On was established to support those returned personnel that had been physically or psychologically impacted by their service. Through the delivery of holistic services, we currently support more than 3000 veterans and their family members.
Our services aim to HELP individuals build resilience, create and expand meaningful connections
with family, community and employers through:
Health and Wellbeing services
Soldier On programs are centred around the needs of the Australian veteran community.
These programs are made possible through the generous support of the Australian community and our partners.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no way of knowing how travel to PNG and your participation in the Kokoda trek may be impacted at the time of the scheduled trek date. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the March On Pinnacle Challenge for 2021. You have the option to join the March On with Soldier On - Mountain Challenge (Ten Aussie Summits) if state border restrictions are not enforced at the time. However, we will keep you closely informed of any updates on COVID-19 and any implications this may place on the varying challenges.
