ANZAC Day - Paddle on and on

By Julie Smith

Paddle On and On

On ANZAC day I’ve decided I would like to try to raise funds, or at least awareness, for “Soldier On”. Soldier On is a not for profit charity that supports service people and veterans.

I will be attempting to complete a 12 hour Stand Up Paddle; from dawn to dusk. The longest I’ve paddled is 7ish hours and so 12 will be a challenge for me!

I will be starting before dawn on ANZAC day (25th April) I’ll watch the sunrise (weather permitting) over the ocean and take my time of remembrance there for those who have served us. I hope thoughts of the brave service personnel will help me Paddle On and On to complete the 12 hours, or as close to that as my arms and legs enable me.

I'd love if you could make a donation to “Soldier On” so our current serving and ex-serving personnel and their families can receive vital support services to enable them to thrive.

If anyone would like to join me for all or part of the paddle, I will be in Manly Marina doing laps of, between 5 and 10kms with fuelling between. Thank you.

Lest we forget…
