The Kokoda Track marks the course of one of the most important battles for Australians in the Second World War.
The men who defended this rugged 96km track were the only line of defence protecting Australia from imminent invasion.
Now you can take on your own challenge to honour their memory, their bravery and the hardships they faced by taking part in March On with Soldier On and raise funds to help our modern-day heroes.
What’s YOUR challenge?
You may wish to improve your health (for example, improve your mental health, reduce stress, lose weight), get out there and be more active with your family or your challenge may be to explore a new walking location each time you venture out.
You might be new to exercise so your challenge may be to be start and be consistent with physical activity, or your might be an exercise enthusiast who is already fit and you want to improve your PB.
Simply choose YOUR challenge and register to walk 96kms – the length of Kokoda - throughout the month of March and start fundraising for Soldier On.
This is your chance to push yourself to show your gratitude for the very nation that our brave soldiers have defended.
You can walk or run anywhere, any time for as long or short as you wish.
Just be sure to complete 96kms between March 1 and March 31. You can even grab some mates or colleagues and form a team to help encourage each other along the way!
In the lead up to the challenge, we will be coaching you with tips and hints to get the most out of your walking and fundraising experience.
