Your Challenge

My Activity Tracking

83
kms

My target 96 kms

I came to donate and was so inspired I registered!

Please show your support as I take on the March On with Soldier On Challenge to honour our past war heroes and help our modern-day veterans by committing to walk 96kms this coming March.

Why 96kms?
Because that’s the length of the Kokoda Track which stands as a symbol of the courage and sacrifice our defence community make to keep us safe.

In doing this, I need your help with a donation so Soldier On can continue to provide vital support services to the selfless service men and women, and their families, who have done so much to serve our nation.

Every dollar you donate to my page will go to directly to Soldier On and you will automatically receive a tax-deductible receipt via email as soon as you have made your donation.

So, please support me while I March On with Soldier On. Wish me luck as I set out to do my bit for our brave veterans!

My Updates

The ride!

Friday 21st Aug
Yesterday I went for a 3km walk on the outskirts of my town then got home and still felt I had more juice to burn! I ended up loading the push bike up and what was suppose to be a “little ride” ended up being 8km 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had become so distracted in the zone I rode past my marker 😂

Never mind, the preparation for this challenge has been.... really positive so far. I’ve had to change my diet to keep up with my energy and double my normal exercise routine but even then I’m afraid I’ll fall short for the challenge. I’m going to accelerate the activity for next month so hopefully for the months leading up to March I can hit the 96kms! Watch this space :)

The beginning!

Saturday 15th Aug
Hi guys,

Came here to show my support for Bert and then jumped on board myself.

We’re going to be starting the venture off slow as my dog and I aren’t marathon runners 😂

I did a solo 3km zip around the block this morning through rural grassland thinking about the cause and honestly, those soldiers did 96kms while carrying supplies, guns, ammo, and their countries freedom on their shoulders. I did 3kms through beautiful pastures, carrying nothing but myself and not to the sound of gunfire. We are so lucky to live in our country and the least I can do is to help raise money and awareness to the fact that the war doesn’t stop for soldiers when they come home.

Follow the journey, show your support or jump on board yourself x
