In Tribute To Paul Blanch

By Kylie Barber

In memory of Paul James Blanch, we are collecting donations for Soldier On in support of their great work in delivering support services for Australian Defence Force personnel and their families.

Paul served in the Australian Army from 1964 to 1993, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant, and later served in the Army Reserve.  He enlisted in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC) and served in 8th Field Ambulance in Vietnam.  After returning to Australia, he had various postings including Ingleburn Military Hospital.

Like many veterans who serve in times of war, Paul was deeply affected by this experience and grappled with a range of both physical and psychological issues following his return.

Paul had a reputation for leading with compassion, and always standing up for those under his care and leadership.  Through raising funds for Solider On we honour Paul's service and continue his legacy by continuing to care and support our defence force personnel.
