Our Project!
Hi Solider On Community!
We are Alexandra, Audrey, and Emily, students at Walford Anglican School for Girls, and as part of our 'Her World' project we have been tasked with creating a service oriented project. We have chosen to focus on retired War Veterans and supporting their mental health. War Veteran's mental health is important as their experiences in combat expose them to extreme stress, trauma and life threatening situations that have long term physiological effects.
Our initiative is a walkathon campaign held on the 27th of October 2024. This 20k walk will be located along Glenelg to Grange and back in Adelaide along the beach. We plan to wear customised clothing and ribbons as we walk as a team.
We kindly seek your support for this initiative in several ways. Firstly, we would greatly appreciate your help in promoting our campaign through social media and group chats as well as donating directly to this page.
All proceeds raised from this fundraiser are donated to Solider On to support their ongoing efforts to assist veterans and their extremely important mental health.
